Drone Company San Diego recently worked on a collaboration tied to a high-end property planned for Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego.

This project brought together architectural design, 3D rendering, and 360-degree aerial photography. Our company provided the aerial imagery to help give the home design more real-world context.

Instead of showing the renderings by themselves, the 360-degree drone photography helped place the proposed home within the actual property and the surrounding landscape.

Project Video

This video was edited to highlight the areas where the 360 drone photography by Drone Company San Diego was most visible in the rendering process and overall presentation.

360 aerial photography Drone Company San Diego captured in Rancho Santa Fe to help support architectural design and 3D renderings for a planned high-end home.

Virtual Tour Stills From the Project

These three images are stills pulled from the 360 virtual tours created for the project. They show how the aerial photos help support the surrounding environment in the renderings.

A Different Use for 360 Aerial Photography

Most drone photography gets used to market something that already exists. This project was different.

The 360-degree aerial photography helped give the renderings of a planned Rancho Santa Fe home more context.

Instead of the architectural rendering just floating in space, it helped place it within the actual property and the surrounding landscape.

That’s part of what made this collaboration stand out. It showed another way drone photography can be used.

When a project needs more than a flat rendering, this kind of aerial work can help show how a proposed home relates to the property, the view, and the surrounding area.

For architects and visualization teams, this can make the presentation clearer right from the start.

Drone Photography in Rancho Santa Fe for Residential Projects

Rancho Santa Fe is a strong fit for this kind of work.

Large properties, custom homes, and open surroundings make aerial context especially useful.

This project is a great example of how drone photography in Rancho Santa Fe can support more than marketing.

It can also help architects, designers, and visualization teams present a project in a clearer way before anything is built.
